This May Be My Final Hosting Thread

Hey all,

After a lot of researching, I have found a host that suits me (http://247-host.com)! I have one [hopefully] final question about hosting, for $1.50 a month, I can get a unique IP. I know that unique means there is only one, and IP meaning....the IP. What does having a unique IP do for me? Should I purchase it? If anyone looks at the site, I am looking at the basic hosting plan.

Thanks,

Solmonsk8er

Ever heard that too good to be true thing?
Don't waste your time with this hosting company, you will end up disappointed.

Hmm.... good point. WHT users gave it a bad review. One user even said that they have not responded to a refund request. I still have no clue where to host my website. I may try using their hosting for a month, and see how that goes, and if I don't like it, I will send them an e-mail request, or a message via live chat for them to refund my money. If they do not respond to my request. I will send emails to them until they do. Speaking about this subject, Danny, is there a way to suggest a site to be geekcertified? I would like to see what they would be rated! If it means anything, the users on WHT bought their hosting through ebay.

Thanks,

Solmonsk8er

If you've heard bad things about them, its probably best to stay away.

At this time there is no way to recommend people to be certified, but if you'd like, you can mention to them you'd like them to apply. Either way, all we're going to test is their support aptitude.

Hosting is a minefield.....

It's difficult to tell up front who might be helpful and who is just lining up for a paycheck. With APLUS I have been able to resolve several issues with the 7x24 support although I'm usually talking to a wannabe 'US convenience store operator'. Cancelling services (for instance) is not without it's issues, but it does get done with APLUS which is more than I can say about some other services I've seen.

That's a pretty serious hit. I'll be on the lookout for it as I launch my first hosted site. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Maybe 247-Host Isn't So Bad

Hey All,

I have heardthat 247-host has bad reponse time. I have been emailing them with "pre-sales questions" and they seem to be fine. They repond within a day, and they seem to be very friendly. They also mention their 30 day money back guarantee. Maybe they have changed since other users have used their services. I may use them for a month to see what is going on with them.

Thanks,

Solmonsk8er

What you do with your money is your choice, but we have urged you not to touch them.
They are talking to you beause you are a potential customer. Once they have your money, good luck getting any response.

I can't tell you any more,
Don't buy something because of the price.

I ran across this forum. I use 247-host.com and was amazed at the price and fast support. So far they have been the best host I have used. I'd highly recommend them.

Host solutions...

I've decided there is NO perfect answer, but I've settled on an outfit called Datagroup Technologies out of Greenville, NC. It's a small company but that makes me a bigger fish in their pool.... and if anyone there lies to me or treats me wrong I can drive there and slap them around in the parking lot. It costs me a bit more, but I get real answers from real people and I've already had one instance where my circumstances caused them to reconfigure their control panel to my benefit. Call YOUR host company and ask for the person you require by first name and see what you get... LOL

Cool Benefits of Becoming a Member

Can you simply tell if Runescape is a great game maple story power leveling or not without you becoming a member? The answer to that would be, NO! Well you can make a few predictions about maple story mesos and see the moral of the game when being a regular user and not a member but becoming a member brings a whole lot of additions to Runescape that you would never see if you were not a member. Being a member of buy runescape gold has so many benefits and I will try to list them all here for you. Runescape tells you them, but I'm going to detail it a few features for you here. runescape power leveling
