I'm having a connection problem with a server i play on.
Heres the situation: I'm playing Flight simulator on a server i'm well known at. all has been well until these past 3 weeks. every monday now when im playing my computer sends out a flood of ping to the server, getting me banned from the firewall. i have to contact the server admin next day to release the ban.
first time it happened, he lifted the ban.
second time, i had to re-format my computer (in which i lost all of my music due to a corruped backup DVD) and i got a new IP address to get in.
last night, it was storming like crazy and i told people i was logging off for the night. I did so and i shut off power to my computer and the surge protectors. I also had a slight power outage, around the time the "ping-flooding" happens. I check this morning to find out im banned again.
So i know for a fact this is not on my end. how was it possible for my computer to send pings if the power to the computer, the router, and the cable modem was out?
im told the pings are happening around the 6200 port area. for my game, the only ports needed are 23456,23432,23422,8767, and 6073. and my router says not to send or recieve on the 6200 area.
im completely lost, i have no idea what to do. all help is appreciated and thank you in advance.
